How we started
After 12 years working in the wine marketing
industry in Australia. Brian Thompson
and Lucie Read decided to create a company to market quality wines and liqueurs
from around the world.
We decided that the best
way to promote these unique wines of the world was to offer free wine and
liqueur tastings at client’s homes and places of employment.
In 2000
worldwinegroup.com teamed up with Dr Streith Selectoins of Germany. a
company with over 30 years experience is the European and Australian wine
industry.
We also commenced our
association with New Zealand's leading liqueurs distillery. .Prenzel
Distilling of Blenheim, established as a commercial
distillery in 1992
After gaining all the
appropriate licenses we started marketing wines of the world and a limited range
of Prenzel products in Australia as Worldwinegroup.com.
The systems of personal
Tastings proved to be a great success. With client acceptance of this type of
marketing together with our ever changing range of products and
innovation. Sales growth exceeded our expectation. and continues today.
